Community Service

Seniors who do not have all of their Community Service hours turned in by the last Friday in April will not participate in graduation and must complete their original hours plus an additional 50 hours (at a project pre-approved by the Campus Minister) to obtain their diploma. Students received Community Service updates in their Religion classes. Ask your student for the form so that you can review the Community Service hours that we have recorded. If you have questions or concerns about Community Service, please email Father Justin at mjustin@aquinashs.net Seniors who wish to participate in Graduation must have 100 hours (25 hours per year of enrollment) of Community Service. Half of the total hours must come from projects involving direct work with the poor, children, volunteering at a hospital or nursing home. (Note that all of the hours may come from these projects.) The deadline for Community Service hours is Friday, April 24, 2009. Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors who wish to earn an award at Awards Night must turn in hours by that day. Seniors who do not have their hours finished will not be allowed to walk in Graduation and must complete 50 additional hours (beyond their 100) by special arrangement with the Director of Campus Ministry. |
